At Kobella, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which you may request a refund and how the refund process works.
This policy applies to all Kobella subscription plans (Creator, Pro, and Studio) and is part of our Terms of Service.
2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
First-Time Subscribers: If you are a new Kobella subscriber and are not satisfied with the service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription payment.
2.1 Eligibility
- Available only for your first paid subscription to Kobella
- Must be requested within 7 calendar days of the initial charge
- Applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions
- One refund per customer account
2.2 How to Request
To request a refund under our 7-day money-back guarantee:
- Email support@kobella.ai with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your account email address and order/transaction ID
- Briefly explain your reason for the refund (optional but helpful)
- We will process your refund within 5-7 business days
3. Subscription Renewals
No Refunds on Renewals: Subscription renewals (both monthly and annual) are non-refundable after the 7-day period from your initial subscription. However, you may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.
3.1 Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time in the current billing period
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscriptions:
- 7-day money-back guarantee applies only to first-time subscribers
- After 7 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
- You may cancel to prevent automatic renewal at the end of the year
- No pro-rated refunds are provided for early cancellation
4. Exceptional Circumstances
While our standard policy does not allow refunds after the 7-day period, we may consider refund requests in exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis:
4.1 Service Unavailability
If the Kobella service experiences extended downtime (more than 48 consecutive hours) due to technical issues on our end, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund or service credit for the affected period.
4.2 Billing Errors
If you were charged incorrectly due to a billing error, technical glitch, or unauthorized charge, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and issue a refund if appropriate.
4.3 Duplicate Charges
If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription period, we will refund the duplicate charge(s) upon verification.
5. Refund Processing
5.1 Processing Time
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the subscription
- It may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer
5.2 Account Access
Once a refund is processed:
- Your subscription will be canceled immediately
- You will lose access to paid features
- Your account will revert to the free tier (if applicable)
- Your data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are explicitly non-refundable:
- Subscription renewals after the 7-day initial period (unless covered by exceptional circumstances)
- Partial months or years of service (no pro-rated refunds)
- Voluntary account termination after the 7-day period
- Account termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Third-party service fees (e.g., currency conversion fees, payment processing fees)
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
Please Contact Us First: Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company, please contact us at support@kobella.ai. We're committed to resolving any billing disputes fairly and promptly.
Chargeback Consequences: If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us:
- Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
- If the chargeback is found to be unjustified, your account may be permanently terminated
- We reserve the right to dispute unjustified chargebacks and recover associated costs
8. Free Trial Policy
If Kobella offers free trials:
- Free trials are available to new customers only (one per customer)
- You may cancel during the trial period without being charged
- If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the selected subscription
- The 7-day money-back guarantee begins when you are first charged (after the trial)
9. Plan Downgrades and Upgrades
9.1 Upgrades
- When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan, you will be charged the pro-rated difference immediately
- You will have immediate access to the new tier's features
- Your billing cycle remains the same
9.2 Downgrades
- When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to your current tier's features until the end of the billing period
- No refunds or credits are provided for unused time in the higher tier
10. Changes to This Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Material changes to this policy will be communicated via email to active subscribers.
Your continued use of the Service after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription.
